Some new special offers have risen to the surface this month, after a leak on Twitter revealed that it was coming a day or two before it could be used. While many drool over the big grand daddy of special offers, free dining, other discounts might get your foot on property, so here are some pros and cons.

International Talk Like A Pirate Day is September 19th, but March, 3 2011, is the anticipated date that “Playhouse Disney-Live On Stage!” becomes “Disney Junior-Live On Stage!” and we bid farewell to a show with Winnie-The-Pooh to make way for Jake.
Why change it? Well, according to the press release, Jake is landing “at Disney’s Hollywood Studios March 4, 2011, less than a month after they cast off on their first adventure on Disney Channel as part of the launch of Disney Junior programming designed for 2-to-7-year-old children.”
The timing for my last Disney trip was perfect because of the horrible winter weather on the east coast, but awful because I has been getting very serious about eating well (read: healthy) and a goal of this trip was to finally try all of the signature restaurants that lack of budget, child care, time, or tolerance for flying chicken nuggets (for 2 table service credits) prevented me from enjoying in the past. The story ends with a visit to a scale near me after the trip. Spoiler alert: not up a pound or 2, but down more than 5. I really thought about how that happened, spoke to a nutritionist, and created a list.
If waiting until Fall 2012 is too much to take, there is always the Aqua Duck on the New Disney Dream, but that is another post altogether.
Here are some changes to expect, according to Disney:
Scheduled to open in phases beginning in late 2012, the new Fantasyland will immerse guests in Disney stories as never before. Among the highlights planned: Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, a major, all-new attraction during which guests will travel with Ariel and her friends through their exciting adventures above and below the waves – all against a musical backdrop of songs from the classic film.
The castle of the Beast, standing majestically upon a hill just across an old stone bridge from Ariel’s new home. The Be Our Guest Restaurant will feature a lavish dining experience in the elegant ballroom, gallery, and mysterious “West Wing” of the castle. With seating for 550, this magnificent facility will offer “great food fast” service by day and full table service dining in the evening. Nearby in Belle’s Village, guests will find the rousing Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.
Just outside the village is Belle’s cottage and Enchanted Tales with Belle. The adventure begins in Maurice’s workshop, where a magical mirror is the doorway to a captivating new kind of storytelling experience: Guests are transported to the Beast’s library to meet Belle and Lumiere, and share in a lively, interactive, re-telling of the “tale as old as time.”
As many parents, friends, and various tweeps started making resolutions, two “get in shape” themes emerged-Use the Couch to 5K method, and fold what you love into your training. For Disney friends, this often meant looking forward to The Princess Half-Marathon, Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon (which launched in 2010), or the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (a January event that I hope you set as your resolution last year). If you are really Goofy, you can do a marathon and a half, but if you do, I don’t think we can be friends. Sorry. The playlist below is what I have plugged into my C25K app because it goes for 30 minutes and help me to keep my eyes on the ears.
Our little dude has asthma – although nowadays all the hip pediatricians call it RAD (reactive airway disease). I knew that we would need to be extra careful on this trip. My kid wasn’t old enough to be able to properly use an inhaler – so we were stuck with needing to use a nebulizer machine. Aside from packing swimsuits and comfy shoes, we made sure to pack his controller medication, his rescue meds and our nebulizer, not to mention his other normal meds. I began to prepare my arsenal.
